South Carolina Shrimp and Grits

So we have something to discuss. This meal is not vegan. I know, I know. But it was for a school project. For social studies, we are cooking our way through America. We made shrimp and grits for South Carolina and that's where I was born.

Since it is not vegan I gave it a new rating: drumsticks. Yums are for vegan food, drumsticks are for the not vegan stuff.  So the shrimp and grits was...

It was so good. AAAAA this part is always the hard part. The shrimp was so nice and greasy and tasted like bacon. Well, we cooked it in bacon grease so that's probably why. The grits tasted like, well grits and butter and cheese. One more reason why it was so good is that I helped make it. But while I was at it, I should have made sweet tea. Well that's all for now. What's up guys? Welcome to another post, it's been a few months I think. Soooooooooooooo today my mom and I made salt water taffy. We are still eating our way through the United States, and salt water taffy is for the state of New Jersey. It's not vegan, so I'll give it the non-vegan Drumsticks rating. Rice and Beans, Broccoli and Kale Salad

           Hi! It's Levi again. Thanks for the support on my last post. It was a little lopsided, but you guys  loved it.  My sister Esther and I made a rating system. Five yums is the best; five gags is the worst. Yums are obviously good and gags are bad. This meal posted above was 1 yum and 4 gags.  The kale had too much lime, the rice was really bland and did not go well with the beans.  At least the broccoli redeemed the meal with 1 yum.  So I would not recommend this meal to people who do not like a main rice dish,  but if you like bland rice, give it a try.  Also, I asked my dad where we get our protein? He said, "We get our protein from where other people's protein gets its protein from." So, I thought I would give it a try!

Hi, my name is Levi. I was born in Spartanburg, SC. I have one older sister named Esther and two younger sisters named Rosie who is nine and a two year old sister named Pearl. Me and my family lived in Chad for 5 years. Chad is in the middle of Africa right at the end of a desert. When we got back from Africa we got a house in Columbus, OH. I started to go to school bla..bla..bla. Then COVID-19 hit and I had to do school work from home. After the school year was done about two or three months ago my parents went vegan!! Why would someone do that?  No, I am not trying to hate on vegans,  I just ammmmmmmm x 10. I just would not recommend it to people. So this blog is to tell you about the vegan food my mom makes from a 11 year old boy who is not always a fan.
